When you take an NCCP clinic, you’ll gain football technical abilities as well as leadership and decision-making skills. NCCP training will open doors to new opportunities in coaching and in life.

Getting Started

Are you thinking about coaching for the first time? Read more about the basics of coaching and how to start the certification process to get you on the field in no time! Football Canada in partnership with Football BC have set the minimum standards to be a football coach here in BC. Whether you want to coach flag or tackle, the requirements are the same. The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) has workshops for all types of coaches and, here is your pathway to becoming a certified coach for the WRSS Titans.

ALL COACHES MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ONLINE COURSES

Safe Sport - Direct Athlete Contact

M.E.D. (Making Ethical Decisions)

ViaSport or Pacific Sport

M.E.D. Evaluation

Available in the locker after the first course is completed

IN PERSON TRAINING

ALL COACHES MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING IN-PERSON COURSES

All in-person courses are offered and run by Football BC. Dates and locations will be provided once they have been booked. 


  • Novice coaches clinic
  • Intro to Comp (Peewee, Junior Bantam, Bantam and Midget)
  • Safe Contact 

Please note that Safe Contact must be renewed every 5 years. All coaches who have taken this within the last 5 years will need to take Safe Contact 2.0 (At www.coach.ca)  before expiration, to maintain the certification.

Once these requirements are completed you are certified and ready to coach!
